Addie is 4 months old!!

Our sweet baby girl turned 4 months old yesterday!  I cannot believe how quickly time is flying by.  She had an appointment with the pediatrician last week & she's 12 lbs 9 oz and 24" long.  She seems SO much bigger than Josh at this age, but believe it or not, when I went back to look at his 4 month stats....he was the exact same length and only 1 oz smaller than Addie!  Dr. Fitch was very pleased with her growth & told us she looked perfect! Always good to hear that :) He said we could start cereal/food now if we wanted to, but we'll wait like we did with Josh.  She's getting everything she needs from her Momma right now!!

Addie is a pretty laid back baby...  She is still eating 5 times a day and she's sleeping from about 7:00 pm to about 6:30 am.  She takes only 1 good nap (1 hour +) during the day and the other 2-3 naps are mostly 30-45 min catnaps :)  She is starting to notice when we leave her sight & cries out for us.  She will occasionally roll over from her tummy to her back but she has mastered arching her back to spin herself around to look at something specific.  She's definitely found her voice and likes to coo and 'talk' to us while making eye contact!  She also recognizes our voices...and LOVES to watch Josh when he's acting silly!

New to us car!!! We upsized!

After much debate & research, I finally "had it" with the VW on Monday and Mike & I decided it was time to 'upgrade' to a bigger vehicle.  We started looking & tonight we became the owners of a 2004 Ford Expedition.  Josh didn't want to leave the car behind, but he'll love the new DVD system & the extra room as he gets bigger!  PLUS, we can get back in Bailey's good graces because she can fit & ride with us once again. :)

Potty training progress report

Week one has been an interesting one so far...  Here's what's happened...

#1 - Saturday evening, Josh decided that a older lady at church would be interested to know that he was wearing this big boy underwear.  I turned around for only a moment, when he had his pants down showing her his 'monster truck' undies :)

#2 - I don't understand why they put the graphics on the BACK of kid's underwear....every morning Josh wants to wear his undies with the graphic up front & Mike has to explain to him that the 'big' part goes to the back.

#3 - All weekend, Josh only had 3 accidents.  We were very hopeful when we took him to school on Monday morning.  We sent 3 changes of clothes & undies...just in case.  Well, when I picked him up from school....he was wearing the schools shorts :-/  He had 4 accidents in 1 day!!!

#4 - Things have since gotten MUCH better...Tuesday, he had 2 accidents and today he only had 1 accident & it was a 'little' one.  Today we took a road trip up to New Braunfels & Josh told us when he needed to go.  We were able to pull over & he went!  GREAT PROGRESS!!!

Operation Potty Training is underway...

Yep, that's right!  Josh moved up to a new classroom on Wednesday & the teacher encouraged us to start bringing him in his 'big boy' undies (and several changes of clothes as well) :)  That really excited Mike & I, so we started today!  So far, he's doing very good...no accidents :)  He's been 'going' on the potty for a while now, so we're hoping this transition is a smooth & quick one!  Wish us luck...

NEW domain & personal email addresses

In an effort to consolidate all our 'stuff', we've opted not to renew our "mikefauver.com" domain & replace it with "fauverfamily.com" domain.  What does this mean for most of y'all????  Well, it means that Mike & I will have new email addresses effective immediately.

Mine - amanda@fauverfamily.com

Mike's - mike@fauverfamily.com

Please update your phones, email address books, etc. so we can continue to hear from each of y'all :)
